Who and what we are
We are poets. We write poetry, we read it, we listen to it. We like poetry. We believe poetry is an essential part of being human. We don't like the way poetry and poets have become marginalised: poetry zipped into the body bag of curriculum; poets incarcerated in a 'poetry scene' and kept safely out of society's way.
What are our aims
We want to return poetry to its rightful place: as part of the everyday. We want to return poetry to its rightful owners: everyone who speaks the language.
We want to publish poetry: ours, yours, anything we like.
How you can be involved
You can read the manifesto. You can sign it here. You can also join us without signing anything here. You can read poetry. You can write it. You can spread the word.
You can submit to our anthology to be published in early 2011—but you will have to join to do that.
You can come along to gigs, readings, launches as we hold them.
What's going on
James Jackson's Two Minutes Hatefuck was launched on an unsuspecting public at a riotous event at the Dan O'Connell hotel in Melbourne.
